I do not take commissions from minors.

Payment Info

I do accept payment plans, however, I prefer to have payments be large, and made once a month. We can discuss the proper monthly payment for the item(s) you have ordered and come up with something that works for both of us. I would prefer that you save the money for your commission beforehand and be able to make 2 or 3 large payments rather than a bunch of small payments. We accept Paypal, Checks and Money Orders.

To get your place in the queue, 50% down payment is required. I will not start a piece until I have 100% of the total amount. If you are unable to pay the full amount by the time your commission is due to start your commission will be pushed back, possibly to the end of the commission queue. This ensures that we can work on your piece quickly. 75% or more of your commission price is non refundable. By the time I start on your commission, I have already invested my time and money on things such as ordering and paying for materials and supplies. Supplies can not be sent back or returned, thus I can not refund you the full amount.

Skipped or Late Payments

We have a low tolerance for late payments. Payments should be made AT LEAST once a month, unless we have worked out a different payment option. If you miss a payment, there will be a fee (determined by how expensive your commission is) because it slows down production, changes the queue order, and could possibly have negative consequences for me as the builder.
If you miss a payment, or your payment is late, we will give you a warning and a chance to make up the missed payment. In addition to this your commission gets moved back on the queue. This is only fair to my other customers who have made their payments on time. If you miss a second payment we reserve the right to cancel your order and not provide any refund.

If you know you will be late on a payment, please let us know as soon as possible. This allows us to ensure your commission is not in risk of cancellation. Letting us know in advance of a late payment does not mean your commission slot will be safe, repeat offenders can still have their commission cancelled.

Changes to the order

Please double check your reference sheets as if they are not accurate and you haven’t discussed with us we may not be able to accommodate the changes to the order. When you place your order until you have sent in your deposit you can make reasonable adjustments to the design. If these changes are minor you may not have to re-fill out a quote form. If these changes are major or may cost more, we reserve the right to have you re-fill out the quote form and get an entirely new quote. Once the deposit is received, we order the materials for your order. This is why deposits are non-refundable at any time. Please note that you may not request specific materials after an order has been placed and the deposit received. We quote based on the materials that we will be purchasing and requesting specific materials after you have been quoted will change the price.

Canceling your order

As long as you have not sent in any of your deposit, you may cancel your order at any time. Once you have sent in any amount of your deposit, you may still cancel but you are not entitled to a refund of any sort. Please see the section labeled ‘Returns and Refunds’ for more details. I reserve the right to cancel any order at any time. Reasons for me canceling your order may be: Harassment of any kind; Abusive language toward me, my creations, my family or any of my customers; You not making payments on the agreed schedule; You making unreasonable demands or demanding unreasonable changes to your order after your deposit is received.

If your order is canceled we reserve the right to complete and sell whatever work we have completed without modification to ensure our time is reimbursed.

Rush deadlines and fees

Here at Fursonalities we value our client’s time equally. We know it’s exciting to get a commission and that you’d like to have it as soon as possible, but we want to remain fair to everyone and not force our patient clients to wait longer than necessary for their completions. For this reason rush or expedited commissions are not something we generally offer. We get many inquiries about expedited completion every year, but the truth of the matter is that fursuits are artwork and artwork can’t be rushed. Expedited completions put a huge strain on everyone involved, they rely on quick communication and decisions, and they can often end up in a lower quality product. We highly value the quality of your product and so try to avoid this. If for some reason we have a client back out of their slot, we generally move everyone in the queue up by a slot and everyone gets a little sooner completion. If we decide to take a commission to fill the slot that was cancelled, please be aware that commissions with immediate or faster completion will cost a substantial amount extra and the full amount will be non-refundable and required up front for our security and yours. Expedited completion is calculated based off of the complexity of the design and the amount of time it will be completed ahead of our standard completion time.

Returns and Refunds

The deposit is non-refundable at any time nor are you entitled to receive the materials I have purchased for your order. The reason I cannot guarantee any refund is because I purchase many different pieces for different orders at the same time. I purchase items for my clients in bulk and for multiple orders at the same time. This keeps down cost that would have been passed along to you, keeping my costs as low as I can. I do not accept full returns for any product after I ship it to you. If you need to return the commission for any sort of adjustment or repair, please see the ‘Warranty and Repairs’ section. Once your product has been shipped, you are not eligible for any sort of monetary or any other type of refund including: your deposit, final payment, or shipping costs. If we need to refund a commissioner we reserve the right to delay the refund until we have found a replacement commission. Due to the global pandemic going on right now, refunds of any sort are not possible. The pandemic has caused several people to request a refund due to tight funds and it has put extra strain on us. Thank you for your understanding!

Commission Completion Dates

It can be very difficult to calculate a completion date for your commission as such I cannot guarantee convention deadlines at this time. A great deal of the time depends on how quickly you make your payments, so if you make all of your payments on time, your commission will go much faster. A commission may be completed sooner or later than the given completion date. Please finish reading, but once you are done and you want a quote, please put the following sentence into the quote form where it asks for it: I (your -legal- first and last name here) agree to the terms of service and will abide by the terms contained in it. If you chose to move your deadline sooner, there will be a rush fee added to your commission cost determined by the overall cost of your commission. I reserve the right to refuse a completion date change. I will keep you updated on your commission as best I can, and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask them! If you are providing us with any materials for your commission, they must be sent to us as soon as you commission. We are not responsible for missed deadlines due to such delays. If you do not provide us with a needed material or reference by the time of your projected start date, your commission will be moved back in the queue to ensure our other commissioners are not delayed.

Non Transferable

The commission is between Fursonalities and the commissioner only and is non-transferable to anybody else without explicit permission from Fursonalities. This means you may not sell, auction, or give away your commission spot. After the product is completed, has been paid for, and has been shipped it is yours to sell if you do not want the commission anymore.

Keeping in contact

If we need to get in touch with you, we will attempt to do so via any means we have, this includes email, Twitter, Skype, or other contact methods we have. If we contact you and fail to hear back from you within 30 calendar days we will assume you no longer want the commission and we will cancel your order. This cancellation does not entitle the commissioner to a refund as we do everything in our power to work with the commissioner to avoid this situation.

Safety

Please understand that fursuits and fursuiting/costuming can be a hazard to your health. Costumes have limited vision and airflow and if they are not used with the proper precautions, injuries may occur. By signing these Terms of Service, you understand the risks of wearing a costume, and will not hold me, the costume builder, liable for any injuries you may sustain while wearing the costume.

Warranty and Repairs

If a part of your suit should happen to come apart under regular wear and tear within the first 30 days of you receiving it, please contact me right away! I will fix it for only the cost of shipping. Please WASH your suit before returning it to me. If your suit should happen to come apart after the warranty, or under heavier use, I can repair it for a small fee. If you have used your suit for adult purposes, I will not repair it. If you have altered it in any way, you have voided your warranty.

Contact and communication

I can be reached in a number of different places! If FA should happen to be offline and you need to contact me about your commission, please email me at ask@fursonalities.com. I also have a Twitter account, which is @fursonalities. I prefer to not give out my cell phone number or home phone number for personal reasons, please do not ask for either of those. Please note that we cannot answer communications immediately. We’re usually working on our products so there may be delays in communications. In particular between when you commission and when your commission is started there won’t be a lot of contact as we’re working hard to get to your commission slot. Please know that we will keep you up to date on your commission slot and we will do our best to let you know well before we start work on your commission. We will not normally answer any communication outside normal working hours which are Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm Mountain Time.
